Torrey Ramquist
Klein Cain Dance Department
Torrey Ramquist was born and raised in Dallas, TX where began dancing at the age of four. She trained and competed in the DFW area in styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, and HipHop. She furthered her training at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Performing for the Reparatory 1 Dance Company, under the direction of Lily Cabatu-Weiss. The Company performed multiple works from professional choreographers and companies such as Robert Battle, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Company, Andy Noble, and Bruce Woods.
Torrey is a University of Texas Alumni, where she was a member of the Texas Pom Squad for three seasons. Hook 'em! She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Coaching and minor in both Dance and Business. Following graduation she moved to Houston, TX to pursue a professional dance career in the NFL. Torrey was a member of the Houston Texans Cheerleaders for four amazing seasons and line leader for three of those four. During her time she performed on field, overseas for military tour, as well as halftime performances with Josh Abbott Band, Paul Wall, Rev Run, T-Pain, Slim Thug and more.
Since then, Torrey finds her passion traveling & working with a variety of teams and companies as a choreographer, consultant, and judge. Coach Ramquist is going into her 5th season coaching and 2nd season here at Cain. She hopes her knowledge and passion helps the next generation of dancers be the best athletes they can be and create their Legacy.
